What cover ?
Insurance to benefit from a reassuring indemnity in the event of permanent disablement or death following an accident sustained at the rally.
Cover for medical expenses written alone or together with the death/disablement benefit provides you with extensive reimbursement of medical expenses subscribed and incurred outside your country of domicile.
Why insure ?
To ensure payment of the lump sum you choose to top up cover proposed by your Sports Federations’ insurances.
Who can insure ?
Any participant in the «BIKE», «QUAD», «CAR», «TRUCK», «SUPPORT VEHICLE» categories, any member of the press in a vehicle or aircraft, or any participant in the DAKAR ARGENTINA CHILE Rallly 2011, provided they are aged less than 75.
What is the duration of cover ?
For participants that have taken out cover prior to the technical and administrative inspections, cover takes effect on arrival on Argentinian territory at the earliest on 28 December 2010 at 07.00 hours. or participants taking out cover during the inspections, cover takes effect immediately;
Cover attaches until participants leave Argentinian territory at the latest on 18 January 2011 at midnight.
For beneficiaries domiciled in Argentina, cover attaches when they leave their domicile to submit to inspections at the earliest on 28 December 2010. Cover terminates when participants return to their domicile at the latest on 18 January 2011 at midnight.
What are the main advantages of this contract ?
Covers designed and negotiated by specialists in motor racing:
- Bike-Quad -> Sum insured between 15.000 € and180.000 €
- Car-Truck -> Sum insured between 30.000 € and 350.000 €
- Other participants -> Sum insured between 30.000 € and 350.000 €
- Option «Medical Expenses» in addition to a lump sum Death/Disablement benefit : cover for expenses up to 40.000 € (in addition to the 4.500 € provided by the organization).
Cover for medical expenses alone : cover up to 25.000 € (in addition to the 4.500 € cover provided by the organization)

What cover ?
An all risk cover including theft and damage to accessories and equipment to cover the risk of damage or destruction during the marine journey, and possibly cover the financial consequences if you cannot participate in the race (only in the case of the ships provided by ASO).

To protect your vehicle on the basis of its declared value and therefore top up the very meagre indemnity paid under international marine conventions.
Who can take out cover ?
All participants in the «BIKE», «QUAD», «CAR», «TRUCK», «SUPPORT VEHICLE», «PRESS VEHICLE» categories.
What is the duration of the cover ?
For the outward journey, cover attaches when the vehicle is deposited at Le Havre harbor (France) and terminates when the vehicle leaves Delta Dock harbor (Argentina). For the return journey, cover attaches when the vehicle is deposited at Delta Dock harbor (Argentina) until it leaves Le Havre harbor (France).
What are the main advantages of this policy ?
The certainty of an indemnity adapted to the correct value of your vehicle. The possibility of adapting insurance to fit your budget.
- Bike-Quad -> Maximum lump sum insured up to: 35.000 € (deductible 500 €)
- Car-Truck -> Maximum lump sum insured up to : 350.000 € (deductible 1.500 €)
- Support vehicles - > Maximum lump sum insured up to : 100.000 € (deductible 1.500 €)
- Support Trucks and Press vehicles -> Maximum lump sum insured up to : 200.000 € (deductible 1.500 €)
Option reimbursement of expenses : you may obtain the reimbursement of your expenses (on documented evidence) incurred for transport, hotels, preparation of the vehicles, assistance, registration expenses, if you are unable to participate following a loss occurring during the marine journey (reimbursement limited to registration fees for assistance vehicles).

What coverages ?
To obtain the reimbursement of the cost of repair in the event of material and payment of an indemnity if the vehicle is totally destroyed. The indemnity is based on the declared value and the deductible chosen and requires the visit of the insurance company’s surveyor.
Why insure ?
To protect your vehicle in the event of accident and obtain an indemnity if the vehicle sustains an accident or is totally destroyed. The sum insured will be based on the chosen value and a surveyor from the insurance company will make the technical inspections at Le Havre and, Delta Rock in Argentina prior to the beginning of the rally.
Who can insure ?
Anyone participating with a vehicle in the racing, support or press categories.
What is the duration of the coverage ?
For vehicles travelling on the ships provided by ASO for the DAKAR ARGENTINA CHILE Rally 2011 for which insurance has been taken out, cover attaches throughout the rally from the time vehicles leave Delta Dock harbor (Argentina) until vehicles are dropped off at Delta Dock harbor at the end of the rally.
If cover is taken out during the administrative and technical inspections, cover attaches throughout the rally and inspection time until the vehicle is dropped off at Delta Dock harbor at the end of the rally.
For vehicles not travelling on the ships provided by ASO, cover attaches throughout the rally, as soon as vehicles begin their technical inspections and up until the end of the rally, at the latest 16 January at midnight.
It is stipulated that cover shall only be valid after the Insurer’s surveyor has inspected the vehicle, either before the vehicle leaves Delta Dock harbor, or during technical inspections time.
